Kone has broadened its service footprint with the acquisition of the 57-year-old Virginia Elevator Co., the elevator/escalator manufacturer announced Wednesday.

Kone has strengthened its position in the Denver market with the acquisition of Advanced Elevator Corp. Kone, with operations in the Quad-Cities, announced the deal in a news release Tuesday.

KONE, a global leader in the elevator and escalator industry, has acquired Capitol Elevator, a Sacramento, California-based elevator service business.
