Back in July, a 12-year-old girl went missing after swimming in a river named Mango Creek in Australia's Northern Territory, some 220 miles southwest of the city of Darwin.

At Aqua-Tots in Mount Laurel, New Jersey, instructors encourage kids to take some of their lessons in clothes instead of swimsuits to prepare if they ever unexpectedly end up in the water.

The swim is set to take place on Sept. 22 and will benefit ALS research and learn-to-swim programs for up to 2,000 local kids.
