Hurricane Kiko is swirling in the Pacific Ocean and heading west in a direction toward Hawaii.

The storm once known as Hurricane Kiko is now officially Tropical Storm Kiko, with the storm expected to continue weakening as he travels north, missing the Hawaiian Islands.

Tropical Storm Kiko was creating high surf and rip currents for parts of Hawaii even as the system weakened just to the north of the islands, forecasters said.
