A driver died after being ejected from a vehicle in a crash down an embankment off Interstate 80 in Nevada County, authorities said.

FAIRFIELD, Calif. — Three people died after a wrong-way crash on westbound Interstate 80 in Fairfield on Sunday morning, the California Highway Patrol said. CHP's Solano County division said two crashes closed the roadway east of Cordelia Weigh Station for about five hours just before 2:30 a.m.

WTOC is also on the scene and has confirmed with officials that two people have been injured and one person has died after a two-car collision on Highway 80. The two injured parties have been transported to the hospital.
