For smaller leaks you can use gutter-repair tape or gutter seal to cover holes and tears. For a gutter that is hanging and pulling away from the house, you can install these fascia gutter hangers.

Heat tape can be applied if roofs and gutters are clear of ice, but it’s recommended to apply the tape in the summer or fall.

Cut the gutter repair tape long enough to overlap the leaky area by at least 6 inches in each direction. Use scissors or a utility knife.
