The company founded by billionaire Elon Musk sent the 28 Starlink units into low Earth orbit atop a Falcon 9 rocket flying from Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The initial ascent was completed in under nine minutes, followed by about a 45-minute coast.

In Florida, you can best see a rocket launch in person if you're anywhere on the Space Coast or certain spots in Volusia County or the Treasure Coast.

Sept. 3 (UPI) -- SpaceX debuted a new Falcon 9 booster as it completed another launch of Starlink satellites from California. The rocket lifted off at 11:51 p.m. EDT from the Vandenberg Space Force Base, carrying 24 Starlink satellites.
