American defense contractor AM General presented an upgraded version of the Humvee 4-CT at the AUSA exposition in Alabama.

Both the M998 Humvee and the Toyota Mega Cruiser were offered to the public. While the large Toyota SUV model had a different model designation, it still had the same name as its military counterpart.

The Humvee first saw active service in Panama in 1989, and yet it’s still in use across the globe today. A total of 281,000 were eventually built and there were at least 17 different variants.
