The Coldspring Town Picnic is returning for its fourth year Saturday, June 27, bringing chainsaw racing, a car show, water battles, live music and fireworks to the Coldspring Fire Hall.

The annual Spirit of Kansas Festival runs all day July 4 at Lake Shawnee. The car show and vendors start at 9 a.m.; Blues Fest at 11 a.m. and Capitol Federal Fireworks at 10 p.m.
