BMW North America has just announced that the 2025 model year of the Z4 M40i will be offered with a much sought-after manual transmission.

Beyond the improvements to the transmission, BMW's engineers also set about changing how the Z4 is tuned. The automatic car favored mid-corner stability with a tendency to lose grip unpredictably.

Performance-wise, the BMW Z4 can accelerate up to 60 mph from a standstill in 5.1 seconds with the four-cylinder engine and 3.5 seconds with the inline-six and the automatic transmission.
