Amazon is moving closer to you. City dwellers are already accustomed to the retail behemoth’s faster-than-lightening same-day and next-day delivery — but now, smaller towns and rural areas will get to feel the same thrill.

Prime Day sales are here again. The e-commerce giant is making the now-misnamed Prime Day a four-day event for the first time.

Amazon plans to expand its same-day and next-day delivery services to more than 4,000 smaller towns and rural communities across the U.S. by the end of 2025. The company is investing more than $4 billion through 2026 to triple the size of its rural delivery network, extending service to 13,000 zip codes and creating over 100,000 new jobs.
