The next online public state surplus property auction begins this Saturday, Oct. 21.

Behold, North Carolina’s State Surplus, which operates online auctions and retail stores where you can bid on or buy all of those items and more.

Foote recently arranged to sell the Defense Department 900 generator shafts for about $200 apiece. Most of them were surplus parts he bought at department auctions for less than $20 each.

Surplus items that will be available at the auctions include vehicles, office furniture and equipment and computers. All items will be viewable one hour prior to the auction.

The auctioneer website features detailed pictures and full descriptions of each item. Like all surplus auctions hosted by the city, it is available to the public, and bids are accepted from anyone.
