ATLANTA -- Twenty years after the Centennial Olympic Gamers were held in Atlanta, the site of the most iconic moments of the 1996 Games still draws tourists to the city, hoping to remember them.

The IBAF is campaigning to get baseball back on the Olympic program in 2016 after being voted off for 2012. Baseball became a medal sport in 1992. The U.S. got bronze in 1996 and gold in 2000.

Atlanta’s sports landscape was dramatically different 25 years ago – and not just because the Olympics came to town.

They have met in the Olympics more than any other teams - with four wins apiece including Japan's victory in the 1996 semi-finals - but never for gold.
