Authorities have launched an investigation into the deadly plane crash that killed renowned Colombian singer Yeison Jiménez and five others in central-eastern Colombia on Saturday, the Associated Press reported.

Colombian singer Yeison Jimanez died in a small plane crash near Paipa, Boyaca, along with five crew members. The charter flight failed to gain height and crashed close to the runway after takeoff, authorities say.
