Wheel of Fortune has kept viewers laughing over the years with some hilariously wrong answers, but one person who is supposed to keep a straight face through even the most ridiculous responses is Vanna White.

The long-running game show launched on January 5, 1975, though rather than in the format it's known today, with Vanna White and Pat Sajak at the helm, it was a daytime series with the late Chuck Woolery and former model Susan Stafford as hosts.

Ryan Seacrest tells PEOPLE that working with Vanna White on 'Wheel of Fortune' has been "amazing," even sharing that she got him a "sweet" gift. Seacrest took over for Pat Sajak after 40 years in the position earlier this year.

Vanna White knows her worth, and she isn’t going to settle for less than she deserves. The Wheel of Fortune hostess is in her 41st year at Sony Pictures Television, but until recently, she hadn’t received a raise in nearly 18 years.
