On the second day of the 2025 World Juniors, two of three Vancouver Canucks prospects took part in the tournament’s games. Team Canada’s Sawyer Mynio was not registered to start the tournament, and sat out tonight in the team’s game against Latvia.

It’s Day Two of the 2025 IIHF World Championships, and all three Vancouver Canucks’ representatives teams were in action after kicking off the tournament on Boxing Day.

D espite being named to Team Canada's roster, Vancouver Canucks defensive prospect Sawyer Mynio was not registered by the team ahead of their first game at the 2025 World Juniors.

The Vancouver Canucks didn't exactly get the jolliest news coming off of a short holiday break, with a few key players missing.

The game at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, B.C., begins at 1 p.m. PT. That game will be on KING 5 and KONG. KONG is available for streaming through Fubo, in addition to antenna, cable and satellite. The game will also be broadcast across the Kraken Hockey Network. Pregame coverage begins at 12:30 p.m.

The Vancouver Canucks returned to practice on Friday after their holiday break without two key players. Both Quinn Hughes and Elias Pettersson were not on the ice and are projected to miss Saturday's matchup with the Seattle Kraken.
