Turner Gulch Fire in western Colorado grows to nearly 14,000 acres; evacuations in place

M ESA COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - As wildfires continue to consume acreage in western Colorado, officials say one of the blazes has exploded in size, ballooning from about 1,400 acres Monday to more than 12,400 acres Tuesday night. As of Wednesday morning, that had grown even further, to nearly 14,000 acres.
