A San Francisco police chief said this week that the police department may need to help keep the peace between ICE agents and protesters.

Videos captured a scuffle between protesters and immigration agents outside a courthouse. No injuries were immediately reported, the police said.

An ICE spokesperson told The New York Times that protesters "violently attacked and obstructed federal ICE officers who were simply doing their job by enforcing the rule of law"

As we spoke, an unmarked van stopped in the middle of the street. An unidentified man was shoved into the van and agents used batons to push people back.
