ITHACA, N.Y. (WENY) — Registered Nurses at the Cayuga Medical Center have formed a new union after a vote this week. Representatives say 82% of nurses voted in favor to create Cayuga United-CWA. The union will represent more than 350 nurses at the medical center.
Huntington, Plainview and Syosset hospitals have ratified new labor contracts, the health system's spokesperson said.
