After a weekend of celebration for the U.S. Army's 250th birthday, roads around the National Mall are finally back open, and crews have begun the process of restoring the area to normal.
The Unite for Veterans rally was a daylong event billed as a grassroots movement to activate veterans across the country to come together and oppose initiatives that include plans to lay off thousands of workers at the Department of Veterans Affairs in the summer.
