Once Bibee was lifted by manager Stephen Vogt, rookie Cade Smith, Tim Herrin, Hunter Gaddis and closer Emmanuel Clase, who led the league with 47 saves and hasn't blown one in 34 straight chances, since May, took it from there.

Angel Martinez is the lone surprise on the position player side. The Guardians are carrying Daniel Schneemann and Tyler Freeman as utility players. Manager Stephen Vogt noted that Freeman had looked good in Triple-A to end the year and then had some good at-bats, after making some adjustments, over the last week in Cleveland.
