We've seen a wealth of new tech unveiled at CES 2025 this week, a lot of it pointing at gadgets still to come – including two concepts from Samsung Display that hint at what a future tri-fold Galaxy phone could look like.

A new report claims that Samsung is working on a tri-fold smartphone that will launch before the end of this year.

Huawei is said to be already working on a follow-up to its one-of-a-kind Mate XT, the world's first commercially available tri-fold mobile phone, as reported by Android Authority. All this is happening when the other tech giants are just stuck at double-fold devices.

Unlike the Huawei Mate XT, the Samsung Tri-Fold Phone may fold inward to provide greater protection to the screen.

The availability of Samsung's first tri-fold handset will be quite limited, it seems. The phone will also get a very high price tag.
