Central Florida's increased ICE activity has led to a debate between Democratic and Republican lawmakers over immigration enforcement.
In a video posted to Instagram Thursday, Congressman Maxwell Frost (D - FL) responded to rumors about a heavy presence of agents with the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Central Florida by saying he can confirm that the agency has deployed agents here and that ICE has made “pretty large” hotel reservations in the area.

Though Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, the Department of Homeland Security or ICE have not confirmed that they're looking to Orange County to establish a detainment center, Rep. Anna Eskamani, D-Orange County said a memo leaked in December confirmed ICE was looking in the area.
