The Brockton driver is accused of bludgeoning pedestrian Stuart Smith to death with a brick after hitting him with his car.

A man was indicted on Tuesday, nearly a year after being accused of fatally striking a pedestrian with his car, then a brick in Brockton.

Vasco Semedo, 46, of Brockton, was indicted on charges of murder, assault with intent to murder and three counts of assault and battery with a deadly weapon by a a grand jury in Plymouth County Superior Court.

A Massachusetts man is expected to be arraigned in Superior Court in connection with hitting a man with his SUV and with a brick, which led to the man's death.
