Don't expect Warren Buffett to predict which stocks in Berkshire Hathaway's portfolio will be the biggest winners in 2025. He would be the first to tell you he doesn't know how any given stock will perform over the next 12 months.

Berkshire Hathaway bought up more VeriSign shares as the final days of 2024 ticked away. Warren Buffett’s company paid $15.6 million from Dec. 26 through Monday for 76,487 more shares of VeriSign, a provider of internet domain-name registry services.

Buffett has trimmed some stocks more than others. Integrated oil and gas company Chevron (NYSE: CVX), for example, is Berkshire's fifth-largest position, and Buffett only sold small amounts in the first and second quarters of 2024 and didn't sell any in the third quarter.
