A blast of Arctic air is bringing cold weather to New England over the next several days. Wind chill values in the mornings are going to be 0 to 15 below, with the coldest areas across the hillier terrain of Worcester County and the Berkshires.

GRAND RAPIDS, MI--Michiganders are experiencing some of the coldest temperatures since the 2019 Polar Vortex this week. Most of Michigan is experiencing wind chill temperatures in the -10 to -25 degree range on Monday and Tuesday. In the western Upper Peninsula, a wind chill of 50 below zero was recorded.

A potent surge of Arctic air starts settling in Monday evening as a massive dip in the jet stream pulls in frigid air across the entire eastern half of the country. Temperatures are set to drop as low as 20 degrees below average through Thursday with the highs only reaching the teens and some lows even plunging below zero.

Odds are you spent the recent holidays curled up in the warmest part of your home, away from some of the coldest weather Northeast Ohio has seen in years. Expect much of the same Tuesday and Wednesday.

The polar vortex has brought Arctic cold to the New York City area—and below-freezing wind chills are in the forecast for the entire week.

Residents in the DMV are being advised to stay inside as an Arctic blast may make it feel like it is below zero degrees in some areas, forecasters say. Beginning at midnight and lasting through 11 a.m.

ARCTIC CHILL AHEAD The cold, arctic air will peak Tuesday and Wednesday. Brace for wake-up temperatures in the single digits above and below zero. Highs will only reach the upper teens and lower 20s.
