A wave of nationwide No Kings protests swept across major cities Saturday, drawing thousands to the streets and spotlighting a growing chorus of Hollywood voices pushing back against what they view as rising authoritarianism.

The mass protest was focused on the Trump administration's actions that protesters believe are authoritarian and blur the line of democracy.

It began with a moment of silence for a Minnesota lawmaker and her husband who were killed in what Gov. Tim Walz called a political assassination.
