Commanders GM Adam Peters determined to trade twice in 2025 with his former GM John Lynch of the San Francisco 49ers. It is much too early to know what will transpire; consequently it is much too early to know who won these trades, but here's a quick look for now.

The 49ers added a proven running back to their injury-depleted group by acquiring Brian Robinson from the Commanders for a draft pick.

Brian Robinson Jr. is headed to San Francisco. The Washington Commanders have traded the veteran running back to the 49ers in exchange for a 2026 sixth-round pick, according to ESPN.  Robinson is the second notable offensive player the 49ers have traded for this week.
