Very interesting!! A fellow gave a demonstration of how cigars are made. Visitors were given the opportunity to smoke a cigar, but most of our group just watched the demonstration.Full review by CarolynjuneTravels

You will be 2 hrs (each way) from La Aurora (which is located in Santiago Province----you will arrive at Puerto Plata). You have the time as long as you move fast....the only way i think is to pay a taxi. I we used Uber as a benchmark, it may cost you around US$ 75 each way...Use Uber. Maybe the want to stay with you and wait for you there....if not give you a decent price, Uber back. If you like cigars, La Aurora is a much better option than staying at Puerto Plata. I do not know Amber Cove, but Puerto Plata city (except a few cases around Luperon) beaches are not the best. While in Santiago, Google and get a sandwich at La Campagna. There is one closed (by car) to La Aurora at Juan Pablo Duarte street. Have fun.
