The Virginia Safari Park is now open for the 2025 season. Located in scenic Natural Bridge, the Virginia Safari Park is a beautiful 180-acre drive-thru safari park nestled in the rolling hills of the Shenandoah Valley and home to more than 1,200 rare and endangered animals that roam free in a natural setting. From the comfort of your car, you’ll see bison, bull elk, the rare Pere David’s deer, emus, ostriches, wildebeest and many more. Roll down your window and extend a bucket of feed and you’ll get a visit from many of them wanting a snack. In addition to the Safari Drive-Thru, stroll along the pathways in the Safari Village where you will find a wide variety of exhibits everyone can enjoy!

Q:
Do dangerous animals come up to your car?
A:
Nothing normal people would consider dangerous. There is the danger of them slobbering all over your car.
Q:
Can we bring out pet dog?
A:
No pets allowed.
Q:
Are they doing wagon rides right now?
A:
The wagons rides were not going on when we visited. It’s likely due to current Covid 19 crisis.
Q:
Would an 11-12 year still enjoy or are they getting too old?
A:
No, I took my 3 kids, ages 18, 16, and 15, and they all had a blast.
