Rockland is a town in the northern part of Sullivan County, New York, United States. At the 2020 census, the population was 3,290. The town, as with most of this part of New York, was part of the Hardenburgh Patent. The town was first settled circa 1789. The town was established in 1910 from the western part of the town of Neversink.
