The children loved counting the 199 steps up to the church and the Abbey.The views at the top are well worth it as well as a trip to the church and the AbbeyFull review by katebC2222NZ

It's 398 steps to the top and the bottom, there are seats half way up for weary travellers wanting a breather,it's worth it when you get to the top for the wonderful view. Full review by david b

Atmospheric steps to St Mary’s Church & the abbey ruins. Spectacular views out to sea & back over the town. Couple of benches to stop in the way up. Look out for the Roman numeral numbering the steps…Full review by DKandtheMadDog
