Hi there thanks for your reviews on Easter Island. We are thimking of going there this year and I was just wondering how you went about hiring a car? Was it difficult to drive and which side of the road do they drive on ( we are from Australlia so drive on the left but I'm thinking they probably drive on the right?) Thanks for your help Suzie

We were there last month (3/2015). They drive on the right side of the road. I saw a car rental place right in town but don't know what they cost. If I were you, I'd take a small group or private tour. The tour guides have so much information to offer. We took private tours and LOVED it. I had read a lot on Easter Island and guides had so much more to offer that no book ever told me. Have a good trip!
