Yes Park & Ride is very easy and cheap. We used Oxford Parkway about 10 minutes on the bus to the middle of Oxford

Not absolutely sure of opening times - but the usual sort of times I think? Open all year - but one floor was closed when we were there. I'm sure that there is a website.

Just noticed your question; have you travelled to Oxford yet? If not, the Randolph Hotel opposite the museum would be the obvious place to stay and central to the rest of the city and university areas (which overlap). The hotel has some history and featured in the film 'Shadowlands.'
