Does the tour leave from the cruise ship dock? Or in town? Can we meet the tour operator in town? I understand the cruise ship dock is a 10-15 minute shuttle ride and because our tour doesn't start until 2pm and we arrive at 10:30am can we take the shuttle and then meet the tour in town thus eliminating the return to the cruise ship?

I am sure tour will leave from town and take you back to your cruise ship afterwards. They are not geared up to have coaches collect people at the cruise ship dock- they had to do it for us because our cruise ship was very late docking, and it was chaos. The only other point I'd make is that there were long queues for the shuttle so I would get off your ship asap so as to give yourself time in Sitka (delightful place) before your Allen Marine Tour. I'm having trouble posting on TripAdvisor from my phone so I hope this posts and only once!
