The "Paratransit Services Way" has developed naturally through our many years in the business of providing transportation safely, courteously, and on time. It encompasses four main themes:
Paratransit Services has played an important role in the development of NEMT in Washington. We operated the brokerage pilot project in Pierce County in 1988, giving us the honor of being the State’s original NEMT broker!
Public Transportation Partnering with Transit Agencies: Paratransit Services specializes in the management of rural, and small-urban, and community-based public transit systems.
In 1986 we began providing Dial-A-Ride services in Clallam County, and two years later we began another transit operation in Pierce County. In recognition of the multi-county services that Kitsap Paratransit was providing, the corporation’s name was changed to Paratransit Services.
Tammy began her time at Paratransit Services in July of 2003 as a Customer Service Representative for the Call Center. After a brief period away, she was rehired again in 2006 and has remained an integral part of our Call Center family ever since.
Paratransit Services uses TripSpark software (see Tech Partners) to broker Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) for Medicaid clients, a service we provide under contract with the State of Washington from our call center in the Seattle-area city of Bremerton.
