WEBJan 19, 2021 · In that latter scenario I might have guessed 5G Auto's algorithm might have chosen LTE over 5G, but that it not the case. So it seems 5G Auto is not selecting the connection based on speed. As long as the 5G signal is reasonably decent, it's happy enough to stick with 5G, even if the speed is not as good.

WEBOct 23, 2020 · Pretty solid results with T-Mo. 5G definitely offers some oomph over LTE, but even that is markedly improved over LTE when I had an iPhone 11 Pro. Given 5G lowers battery life a bit I considered just going LTE/Standard, but battery life seems to be noticeably worse overall. May as well enjoy all it has to offer.

WEBNov 19, 2020 · When I upgraded from S10+ to Note 20 Ultra, I had to swap sim to get 5G on AT&T. Then kept the same sim for the 12 pro max since I already had a 5G sim. And make sure u have selected 5G on or 5G auto on cellular data settings. I have mine on off because 5G still slow here in Miami compared to LTE.
